This is a bottle I had been eager to open for a few months. I finally lost my patience and took it as an extra bottle to drink after the Matassa wines. Clearly, this was the wine of the evening.

Incredible and complex bouquet of pear, orange oil, cheese popcorn, pastry cream, and smoke. Wonderful texture—intense, multilayered, sophisticated, and delicious. Medium to full-bodied, seamless, evolving, and racy. Intriguing flavours of coconut, damp cellar, and tarragon. Wonderful wine.
